Dee Smoluk, 55, passed away peacefully in her home, family by her side, on Saturday July 27, 2013. She was born on February 20, 1958 in Philadelphia, PA. to George and Dolores Mackowski.
Dee moved to Lake Havasu in 1985 with her loving husband of 37 years Rick Smoluk and their 3 Children. Dee worked for Mohave County Health Department in the Nursing division for 13 years as a Public Health Specialist and later at Kmart touching the lives of many people.
To meet Dee was a privilege and to know her and be a part of her life was an honor. She was a friend to all, caring, loving, always going that extra mile for others and was always honest and true and always had a smile. Dee’s passion was spending time with her family, whether they were boating, camping in the mountains, or just at the house playing games. She loved her grandkids Hailey, Ethan, Tyler, Logan, Amber and Jessica with all her heart, reading books, doing puzzles, playing cards, or just talking/listening made her the best.
Her 3 Children, Michelle(Erick) of LHC, Ricky(Jennifer) of North Dakota, and Steven of LHC will miss her true love, her ability to just be there to listen and her beautiful and contagious smile more than anyone will ever know. Dees sister Patricia Mackowsky of Pennsylvania was blessed to be by her side in her final months and was able to sit and laugh and share memories.
Her parents George and Dolores Mackowsky both of Croydon PA preceded her in death.
There will be a viewing on Wednesday, July 31st from 4:00-7:00 PM at Lake Havasu Mortuary Chapel , 2225 N. Kiowa Blvd. All who loved Dee are invited to join the family.
Dee’s wish was, in Lieu of flowers, to please make donations to Hospice of Havasu in her name.
